How to register a new domain at Rivervo.

From searching to checkout — step-by-step domain registration including the privacy and DNSSEC settings worth enabling.

2 MIN READ

Registering a domain at Rivervo takes about 2 minutes. Here's the full path.

Find an available domain

  1. Go to rivervo.com/domains
  2. Type the name you want in the search box
  3. We instantly check availability across 500+ TLDs (.com, .io, .dev, .az, etc.)

If your first choice is taken, the search shows close alternatives — same name on different TLDs, or modified versions if available.

Add to cart and configure

Click Add to cart on the domains you want. The cart sidebar shows:

  • Term — 1 year (default), 2 years, or 3 years. Multi-year saves money and protects from renewal price changes.
  • Promo price — for some TLDs (.com especially) we run "first year free with 3-year registration" promos automatically.

Checkout

Click Checkout. You'll go to the payment screen.

If you don't have a Rivervo account yet, you can create one during checkout — email + password, takes 30 seconds.

Pay with card (Visa, MasterCard, AmEx) — payments go through Paddle so card details never touch our servers.

After purchase — required WHOIS info

Every domain registration must have valid contact info per ICANN rules. Fill in:

  • Full name
  • Address (street, city, postcode, country)
  • Phone (with country code)
  • Email (we don't display this publicly thanks to GDPR — it's between us and the registry)

You have 15 days to complete this. If it's missing past that, the domain gets temporarily suspended until you fill it in.

WHOIS Privacy — free with all our domains. Hides your contact info from public WHOIS lookups. Spam reduction alone is worth it. Enable in Panel → Domains → [your domain] → Privacy.

DNSSEC — cryptographic signing of DNS records, prevents DNS spoofing attacks. Enable in Panel → Domains → [your domain] → DNSSEC. One click. No downside.

Auto-renewal — on by default. Domain auto-renews 7 days before expiry using your saved card. Critical to keep on — losing a domain to expiry means anyone can register it.

Connect to hosting

If you also have hosting at Rivervo, the new domain is auto-connected — appears in cPanel as an addon domain within minutes.

If hosting is elsewhere, change the nameservers (in Panel → Domains → [your domain] → Nameservers) to point at your other host.

Pricing transparency

Renewal prices are the same as registration prices for all our TLDs. No "first year cheap, then 3x renewal" gotchas. The price you see at signup is the price every year.
