Your first steps in the panel — where to start.
A short tour of your website in the Rivervo panel: where files, databases, email, domains and settings are, and the three things to do on day one.
Everything about your website is in the Rivervo panel at rivervo.com/panel, in your website's project.
Finding your way
Open the project → Website. The menu on the left holds every section:
- Overview — status, disk and traffic use, plan and billing
- Software — WordPress and other apps, deploys from GitHub
- Domains — the main domain, more domains, subdomains, folders
- Files — the file manager
- Databases — MySQL databases, users, phpMyAdmin
- Backups — daily backups, restore and download
- Security, PHP, Cron jobs, Site rules (redirects, HTTPS, password-protected folders, error pages), SSL, DNS zone, SSH and SFTP, Terminal, Errors, Speed, Visits and traffic, Uptime, Staging, Node.js and Python, Site check
Email of the website is on the project's Email tab.
Not sure where something is? Type it in Search this website at the top of the menu — «MX», «mailbox», «php», «wordpress» — and you land on the right page, often with the form already open. The search in the panel's header looks through all your projects.
Logins
After your hosting is set up, we email the hosting username and password — for SFTP and SSH. They are also on Website → Overview → Access; Reset emails a new password. The panel itself needs no extra password.
No domain pointed yet? The website has a temporary address on rivervo.app, shown as the Address under Access.
Day one
1. Point the domain. If your domain is registered elsewhere, set its nameservers to Rivervo — the Domains page shows exactly what to set. See Connecting a domain you already own.
2. Check SSL. Free certificates are issued automatically once the domain points to the hosting. SSL shows them; without one, browsers show «Not secure».
3. Create the site. Software → Install an app → WordPress — see Installing WordPress — or upload your files in Files.
Stuck?
